This piece embodies an idea that I unfortuna- tely lost somewhere between university and day-to-day rush, but definitely want to take up again: Taking paintings and works of fine art by old and new masters and reinterpreting them in my own way. This doesn't have to happen as clearly as here in the painting by Peter Rubens "Raub der Töchter des Leukippos", but it definitely creates space for innovation despite or maybe especially because of the familiarity.
